You've sacrificed so much for this career.
And don't get me wrong, you love being a vet.
But somewhere along the way, it stopped being part of you.
It became all of you.
Maybe you've noticed:
And the question that sneaks up on you at 10pm:
"I've accomplished all of this. Why aren't I happier?"
You probably think you're the only one asking it.
You're not.
Here's what nobody told you in vet school:
You've tried all of it.
Therapy. Apps. Switching jobs. Cutting to four days. The burnout CE at conference.
And Calm, the gym, the book on the nightstand. They all help. A little.
You feel a bit better, and then something pulls you back.
That's not because you're doing it wrong.
It's because every one of those goes after how you feel.
None of them touch what you're thinking underneath it all:
"To be a good vet, this is what I have to do."
I know a little something about feeling better for a minute.
For 30 years, I used food and wine to feel better. It worked. A little. Until it didn't.
I'd been in therapy for years.
Then one day I was in my car, listening to a life coach's podcast, and she said: "Our thoughts create our feelings."
I almost drove off the road.
Why had no one ever told me that?
So I started looking for the thought underneath how I felt. I stopped fighting the food and believing it was the problem.
And I realized I wasn't broken.
Today, I'm sober, and food doesn't run my life anymore.
Which brings me to the thing I want you to really hear:
That thought was useful! It got you through school, through boards, through every hard case.
It made you a great vet.
It just never got the memo that you're allowed to have a life, too.
So before you add one more thing to feel better, ask yourself:
Who am I in addition to being a vet?
That's the question I help women vets answer.
I bring together women vets who each think they're the only one struggling, until they realize they're not alone at all. In that safe sisterhood, I teach mind management and the tools that grow from it, like boundaries, seeking pleasure, and asking for what you want (yes, including more money).
And I've watched what women vets do once they give themselves permission.
They take the job they would've talked themselves out of. They ask for the raise. They become medical director. They finally start planning for retirement.
[STORY SLOT: one short member story with a before and after, used with her permission]
You were taught that a good vet gives the job everything, and nobody ever gave you permission to want a life you love.
It's not that you don't love vet med enough.
It's not that you need more discipline, or a better app, or one more CE.
You need permission. And proof that it's possible, from women vets who get it.

25+ years in vet med. Now I coach the women who care for animals.
I used to work with animals. Now I work with the people who care for them.
I spent 25+ years in veterinary medicine: as a veterinary assistant, a hospital administrator, and 15 years in vet pharma, diagnostics and therapeutic diet sales. I've been in a lot of your break rooms. 😄
I'm a Certified Compassion Fatigue Specialist and Master Life Coach, with a BA in Zoology.
Everything I teach comes from the same place that changed my own life: noticing the thought, asking where you learned it, and choosing what you want instead.
And I built this for you: the woman vet who loves her work, and still wants more.
That's why I created Living a Life You Love, a 6-month group coaching program for women veterinarians who love their work and still want more.
It's safe. Anything can come up here, in vet med and outside it.
It's flexible. No expectations. No gold stars for overdoing it. You can't fail at this program.
It's only women vets. You'll never have to explain why it's so hard. Everyone here already knows.
One of my longest members joined thinking group coaching wasn't for her. Now she says the group is the place she feels safe and cared for.
[TESTIMONIAL NEEDED: a member's own words, with permission, ideally leading with a result]
Your shift ends, and on the drive home, you're not replaying every case.
You walk in the door, sit down on the couch, and you're actually there.
The job you would've talked yourself out of? You apply. Maybe you get it.
You ask for the raise, and you don't apologize for asking.
You stop waiting for "someday" to plan the life after vet med.
You remember (or discover!) what you love that has nothing to do with work. [EXAMPLE NEEDED: something a member discovered outside vet med]
And on a hard day, you've got a group of women vets in your corner. Many of my members call it their mental health support.
Being a vet is still part of you.
It's just not all of you anymore.
2 live 60-minute group coaching calls every month
1 live 60-minute Heartspace session every month. I bring a thought-provoking question, we go around the circle, and everyone gets a turn to answer and share. Then I pick a new one. Members love it.
a library of on-demand trainings, plus new ones added along the way. Use them when you need them, or don't.
a private online sisterhood of women vets who get it
access to me for coaching and support (minus when I'm sleeping. #boundaries)
every call is recorded, so you can watch live or later
We meet most Thursday nights at 8pm ET. Everything is 100% virtual.
Because you found me through The Drive Home, these are yours if you apply within 5 days of your first offer email:
Before your group starts, we'll get clear on what you want from your six months. You'll get results sooner, and you'll walk into your first call with at least one friendly face already waiting.
Because choosing something just for you has to start somewhere. Use it as a little ritual before you walk in the door after a shift.
Here's everything you get:
Total value: $3,888
That's $1,100 off the regular price, plus both bonuses, held for you for 5 days from your first offer email.
Applying is short and simple. Once you're accepted, you'll get an email to choose your payment option.
If you're not loving it within the first 30 days of the program, I'll gladly refund your money. No hoops.
I know. That's kind of the point. 💛 You've spent years investing in being a great vet. This is an investment in the rest of you. And if it's not right within the first 30 days, you get your money back.
There are no expectations here. Come live, watch the replay, or skip it. You can't fail at this program. A lot of women find they're more present in their lives, not less.
One of my longest members has been with me for ten rounds, and she didn't think she was a group person either. It's safe. You feel cared for. You don't have to speak up if you don't want to, and in Heartspace, your turn comes to you.
Because your $2,500 price and both bonuses are held for you once you're accepted, even if the next group starts a little later.
No. Coaching isn't therapy and isn't a replacement for it. If you have a therapist you love, keep them!
Living a Life You Love is for women veterinarians only. If you work with animals in another way, my 1:1 coaching might be a great fit.
Not at all! Everything lives in one easy portal, and I'm here to help if you get stuck.
This is for you if you want support plus a sisterhood of women vets. 1:1 is for you if you want everything customized just to you.
If nothing changes, you'll keep being a great vet.
You'll keep checking charts from the couch. You'll keep downloading the next app, and it'll keep helping. A little.
And the question will keep showing up at 10pm: why aren't I happier?
But the feel-better stuff was never going to fix it, because the thought that got you through vet school is still running the show.
You don't need more of that.
You need to find out who you are in addition to being a vet. With women who've been exactly where you are.
You were never ungrateful for wanting more.
Consider this your permission.
xo,
Julie
P.S. Your $2,500 price and bonuses are held for you for 5 days from your first offer email. After that, it goes back to $3,600.
